Synulox LC ®(Amoxicillin Clavulanic acid+ prednisolone)sterile suspension

USES:
Synulox LC For use in clinical cases of mastitis in lactating cattle including cases associated with infections with the following pathogens; Staphylococci (including b-lactamase producing strains), Streptococci (including S. agalactiae, S. dysgalactiae, and S. uberis), Escherichia coli (including b-lactamase-producing strains). Meanwhile the Prednisolone works by interfering the inflammatory reaction.

  • Synulox LC is available in Box with 12 syringes, each 3 g syringe containing 200 mg amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate),50 mg clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate) and 10 mg prednisolone

    The contents of one syringe should be infused into each affected quarter via the teat canal, immediately after milking, at 12 hour intervals for three consecutive milkings.

  • •Proven efficacy: Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum bactericidal b-lactam antibiotic. Clavulanic acid inactivates b-lactamases. This combination is effective against b-lactamase producing organisms. Prednisolone is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid.

    •Non Irritant: The antibiotic is bactericidal, causing the death of the organisms at the concentrations produced and it is non-irritant to the udder tissues.

    •Proven safety: No adverse reactions are to be expected from an accidental overdose

    IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

    •Do not use in animals which are known to be hypersensitive to β-lactamase antibiotics

    •Synulox Lactating Cow should be used for treatment of clinical mastitis only

    •7 day pre-slaughter withdrawal required following administration, Milk withdrawal is 84 hours, i.e. 7 milkings with 2 times a day milking or 11 milkings with 3 times a day milking.
