Eazi-Breed™ CIDR® Cattle Insert (progesterone)

•For synchronization of estrus in lactating dairy cows, suckled beef cows and replacement beef and dairy estrus in replacement beef heifers.

•Can be used in beef cows and heifers in conjunction with Lutalyse® Sterile Solution administered on day 6 of the treatment period to enhance estrus synchronization.

•Lutalyse is the only prostaglandin product on the market approved for use in synchronization protocols of lactating dairy cows with Eazi-Breed CIDR.

•For synchronization of estrus in lactating dairy cows, you must use the Eazi-Breed CIDR Cattle Insert concurrently with an injection of 5 mL of Lutalyse administered on Day 7, at the time of Eazi-Breed CIDR cattle insert removal, to ensure maximum effectiveness

•Approved for use in lactating dairy cattle to synchronize the return to estrus of cows inseminated at the immediately preceding estrus (re-synchrony of estrus).

•Provides tight estrus synchrony so animals come into heat in a narrow interval.

•Provides an opportunity to induce a fertile estrus in non- cycling cows.

•Can allow for earlier breeding of heifers.

•Insert is administered for 7 days. Animals are observed for signs of estrus 1 to 5 days after removal.

Each insert is impregnated with 1.38 g of progesterone in elastic silicone molded over a nylon spine. Inserts are packaged in a plastic pouch with 10 inserts to a pouch. A special Eazi-Breed™ CIDR® Applicator is provided separately.
